Coral Restoration Foundation Curacao Is Making Great Progress
Coral Restoration Foundation Curacao is happy to share some good news and progress with you. We also want to extend our appreciation and to thank our volunteers, local and private donors and sponsors of the foundation for the hard work, support and dedication this year.
During 2016, CRFC has doubled the number of corals that we had in January in the nurseries and as a result, we now have more than 1500 corals. In addition, we have developed new techniques to restore larger underwater areas in a faster manner.
A very good year
2016 is our first year restoring our reefs. We started with 7 little corals and we followed that by out-planting 100 corals at Tugboat, 60 corals next to Jan Thiel and 100 corals in front of Sunscape Resort.
And at our house reef, in front of the Sea Aquarium Beach, we already have more than 600 corals. All in all, it’s been a very good year seeing as we already have restored more than 1000 corals!
Thank you again for all your help, donations and support.
